What I'm into March!

 March!


This was the Month of CEUS ! I went to a training at NC State and one through NASW.. i will say that the breakfast/lunch were the best parts of those training.. oh well.

My dad came to visit for 18 days!

We had an amazing first weekend of March Madness including Steaks, baked potatoes and 3 TVs set up in the living room.. good times!

We also had our first cook out of the season for the Elite 8 games.. and despite the random cold front and rain that came through, i would say it was still a good time!

We celebrated Easter at CCC and went to a potluck at the Yarnoffs! A nice celebration!

A Mother's Reckoning: Living in the Aftermath of Tragedy

If you were at all interested in Columbine- this is a memoir from Dylan Klebold (one of the shooters) mom- who before this had never spoken public about the event. I read this in 2 days.

What I'm listening to..
same.. but i want to give a good shout out to Radio Lab!


What I'm Watching 
I finished Fuller House which I loved, and then decided to re-watch all the Gilmore Girls.. I'm on season 4.. Rory is still likeable at this point.. I'm also thinking I'm not #teamJess anymore.. he was kind of a jerk! Why am I just seeing this now?


Walking Dead has been great! Haven't started the new season of Better Call Saul yet..


Loved the 30:30 Fantastic Lies.. I lived here during the Duke LAX scandal, and knew that eventually  that the girl had lied.. but I didn't know all the details (I was in grad school! no time for local news!).. Such a good recap.. and disturbing.. Worth the 2 hours!!!!

What I'm Into Jan/Feb 2016

 I really want to start this up again. It's fun to reflect on and it really helps for material for the Year in Review Trivia game I do for Meeker every New Years.

New Years day was spent taking long naps, reading, and watching TV.. pretty magical.

We had a nice ICE day were I was unable to get to work, and a day off for MLK.

We hosted our first game night since the roomies moved out! super fun. skillet enchiladas, play off football and games!

We had a lot of friends come over for dinner Sunday nights which has been fun. And got to host Ashlee Hoskins and her mom for dinner and catch up before she moved back to the DR.

We stayed in for the Super Bowl and were sad that the Panthers lost..

I went to Maryland for Kimi's baby shower and fell out of a chair. Got to see all my high school friends and Laura's new house/baby. Also got to see Abbi's new house and foster babies.

Went to Robbie and Rubia's for dinner and introduced them to Ticket to Ride.

Caught up w my old co-workers Mandy and Andrea at Nordstrom's Cafe.

We did our taxes.

We had a legendary game night with our neighbors the Hlads. 

Jill and cody came to visit and we ate NanaTaco and played games.

Had a girls night in with Kelly and Jen.  and had someother dinners with Rubia and Elyse. all in all a good 2 months of catching up with friends!

  Rob Lowe's Book:  Stories I only tell my friends.. loved.. will read his other one soon! 

What I'm listening to..

Still hooked on UNDISCLOSED ,  Davey Ramsey... Planet Money.. Radio Lab, and State of the (RE)union.  i'm moderately liking the new Serial...

and of course Better Call Saul and Walking Dead are back..

Things I binged- finished Parks and Rec--- love! and The WEST WING!!!! LOVEEEE ! both so good.  #bartletforpresident

I started Fuller House.. its as expected and I anticipate watching all the episodes.
